AdaniConneX: AdaniConneX to Develop a New 200MW Data Center Facility in Andhra Pradesh, India

Adani Group is building a 200MW data center complex in Andhra Pradesh, India. The company's "Integrated Data Center and Technology Business Park" at Madhurawada, Vizag (Visakhapatnam), is the first of three technology zones intended for the city. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy, Rajesh Adani, and Karan Adani attended the facility’s groundbreaking ceremony on May 3. The facility will have a technology and business park, a skill development center, and a 200MW data center. The data center will be powered by 100% renewable energy and hosted by AdaniConneX, a 50/50 partnership between Adani Group and EdgeConneX. The company will connect to local terrestrial and undersea infrastructure.

Adani Group invested $2.45bn in Andhra Pradesh, creating 18,000 direct and 54,000 indirect jobs. The money was invested in developing 15,000 MW of renewable energy projects, 10 million tonnes of annual capacity for cement production, operation of the two biggest private ports in the state, and other projects. AdaniConneX wants to provide 1GW of hyperscale data center capacity across India through its joint venture with EdgeConneX. The company's Chennai data center comprises a 17MW initial phase and a 33MW overall build. The company has facilities in Noida, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Vizag.
